U.S. auto major Ford launched two new variants of its sedan Fiesta with 1.6 petrol and 1.4 turbodiesel engines, priced between Rs. 6.20 lakh and Rs. 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). “Now the new Ford Fiesta model range includes three petrol variants — 1.6 EXI, 1.6 ZXI and 1.6 SXI — and three turbodiesel variants — 1.4 EXI, 1.4 ZXI and 1.4 SXI. In addition, the Fiesta 1.6 S, a sport variant, has been uniquely developed for a demanding segment of Indian consumers,” said Mr. Boneham.
“We are considering petrol and diesel variants of the proposed new small car which is being designed keeping in mind the Indian conditions. It will mark our entry into a completely new segment,” said Ford India President Michael Boneham. The company has already announced an investment of $500 million for setting up a new facility for manufacturing small car and engines.
